A Victory To Celebrate As Spain Made It To World Cup Finals – This is Spain’s first time to make it in the World Cup semi-final and fans are in high spirits. Just hours before the kick-off, fans were painting flags on their faces and the word “Espana” up their arms and legs. In addition, street holders were doing a strong trade in replica shirts and red yellow wigs and hats.
Everywhere, everyone was predicting victory. They sang Yo soy Espanol to the tune of “Kalinka” Some people say that 2010 is going to be Spain’s year to win.
The confidence of Spain’s fans was widespread. Many of them felt sure that their team could repeat Spain’s 2008 victory over Germany in the European Cup final.
There were firecrackers, singing and dancing in the street. However, as the fans celebrate, riot police had been positioned around the city fountains in cases of any accidents that might occur.
The atmosphere is euphoric in Gran Via where there was a lorry of load of dancing fans. They will keep the fiesta going all the way to the final.
