New Car Model of Range Offers A Thousand Jobs – With the production of a new Range Rover, a thousand new jobs are set to be created at Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood plant on Merseyside.
The company which is based in Gaydon near Warwick has made an announcement at a party to celebrate the 40th year of Range Rover in London on Thursday night. The new model named the Evoque was also revealed at the party. According to the firm, it will be the greenest Range Rover.
It is set to be shown to current workers at the plant later on.
Phil Popham, managing director of Land Rover, said “today is a very special occasion for Range Rover, not only are we celebrating our exciting future by showing the all-new Range Rover.”
He also added that the new model would be “an important step for the future continued success and growth of the brand”. It would be sold in more than 160 countries.
