Obama In Monitoring BP Oil Spill: No Memorial Day Presence

President Barack Obama was initially set on a vacation to their hometown Chicago for Memorial Day. A lot have already criticized the president about his Memorial Day 2010 plans of having a vacation instead of being present as the commander-in-chief during the wreath-laying rites in Arlington. Many on the other hand, have already shrugged off the criticism when they knew that President Obama will be cutting his Memorial Day vacation to visit the BP Oil Spill Cleanup Operations at the Gulf of Mexico in the morning. Vice President Joe Biden will be representing President Obama during the Memorial Day Ceremony in commemoration of the people who have served and died for the United States.

like that is any better having biden there. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE COMMANDER-N-CHIEF, not his vice. PERSONALLY THAT IS A SLAP IN MY FACE & EVERY OTHER VET & ACTIVE DUTY MEMBER HIM NOT ATTENDING.
Obama is not the first president to do that. Both Bushes missed at least one. Regan did too (4 in his 8 years, 1 due to vacations). I don’t like that he won’t be there either. I think he should. I don’t like that he (or ANY PRESIDENT) skip ceremonies to go vacationing….. HOWEVER…. end of the world? probably not.
Obama is a traitor. Hard to believe he is the first president to make an excuse not to go. Biden is a consolation prize, don’t fool yourself people.
