After the recent storm Agatha came by, this sinkhole in Guatemala is supposedly seen.  It is said that the Government of Guatemala uploaded this picture on their official flickr account.

There is no appropriate news regarding the truth about this or how this hole has come about.  They said that the hole leads to nowhere or that it could lead to the dark ground.

UPDATE:

It is indeed true.  The sinkhole photos are not photoshopped and this is not the first case that Guatemala had a giant sinkhole.  Back in 1997, a similar case had happened, shrinking houses and infrastructure into the ground.

As to the cause of the sinkhole, unstable fluids under the surface of the Earth’s crust and a horrible sewage line below the surface might have caused this.

This makes everyone think of the movie 2012 again.
